  • Valentine’s Day

    One should experience and feel the feeling of being single on a Valentine’s day. This year again, I am still single. I have not met my soul mate yet. When the whole lot of your friends are sending you valentine day wishes, you see them going out with their beloved, enjoying the day, exchanging wishes, somewhere something is missing.

    I  went to office as usual. I wore ‘White & Pink’ combination (A color that signified nothing on St. Valentine’s day). By the end of the day, I was in tiruvanmiyur to meet my friends. And with sleep the day ended. Nothing eventful happened.

    What is that something missing? Why have I not met HER or have I met her and I missed noticing HER? Don’t I want to fall in love? Cupid has once again let me down.

    Waiting for these unanswered questions to be answered….

  • And the Verdict Is!

    After a lot of hype over what I need to do on my career, I have finally hit upon it.

    The thing that was pestering my mind for around a month is finally out. I have decided to follow my passion: computers. To be precise, graphic design, web design and programming.

    Watch out for my creations in my future posts.

  • To be or Not to be!

    The billionth time i am asking this question to myself!

    To be or Not to be?

    The following to be’ s  have been pestering my mind recently…

    To be in software industry or not.

    To be in the current company/project or not.

    To be a graphic artist or not.

    To do my higher studies or not.

    To be a teacher in my later half of life or not.

    To work or not.

    To fight for my vacation leave or not. (I did fight for it 3 days back and got it after losing some temper.)

    To look out for a girl friend or not.

    And a lot more to be ‘s.

    Let me update whether I got answers to any of these To be ‘s  after my 3 day vacation…

  • Creation Or Evolution

    Here is a nice topic to deal with… Life came by creation or by evolution…

    This is indeed a question that has been on for a long time with no clear answer… I am not going to provide an answer…but this is what i got by discussing with my team mate Sudar.
    My point is the world was created as a whole, with the ant, monkeys, human as it is today.

    Points that lead me to believe so..

    1. The complex nature of the entire system.

    2. How could some 24 or 25 elements needed to create a living cell come to existence all of a sudden at one instance.

    3. Why is that we have not evolved further.

    4. Classical: Missing links.

    5. If it is survival of the fittest as said by Darwin, we don’t see people and animal striving for survival evolve, instead they become extinct. (take the case of kiwi bird).

    Any different opinions on that is welcome…

  • New Year 2008

    And the year 2007 has gone by and into the new year 2008… I try to look at what I have done in the past year….

    Company: No profile changes. Am in the same project as in 2006. Significant achievements is also NIL.

    Friends: No new acquaintances made.

    Life: I have moved to a new house in Kellys this year and a more comfortable one too.. Will write about it in my future posts.

    Family: No lovers, wife to be added to my family.

    So last year was a normal year for me with no significant achievements…

    New Year Resolution: No resolutions this year as i need to keep up old ones first… Adieu..

  • Let there be Code!

    Hello World!!!

    This is the first program that I wrote in my C class in my 11th class. There began my obsession with code. But I was not new to computers then!

    My friend Maarshal introduced me to computers. We joined APTECH Vidya course in the 10th standard summer vacations. I was totally new to computers. The class was on using MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. My friend seemed to know more on these. I did not quite like Word and Excel, the tools that I use in office everyday now.

    I was attracted to PowerPoint. The cute animations and clip gallery added to the fascination. Even Office Assistant (F1) used to amaze me a lot. On the other han, Word has nothing to offer me except Mail Merge and Excel was just a collection of tables. (These are my means to earn now.)

    In my 11th class, we had a subject on C and in 12th we had Java. That is where it all began… From then on till now am into computers and coding.

    Let there be code!

  • Musings….

    When i started writing this post… I had no idea what i was heading at. But wanted to start out on some topic.

    I decided not to look at beautiful girls… As all girls that i look to have a boy friend or a lover already. All my roommates (except Soms) are in the same state.

    We had tried many times. I have liked many, but no way to go speak up, till one day i see her with some one else. This has been happening and happening all the time till now.

    How am i to go about it. Break the ice and dive deep. Find myself a girl friend. Just a friend. Nothing more. But being without one is again a blessing.

    You have no concerns on topping up your mobile. No worries to go out in the great sun on Sundays. No beaches, No complains of gifts, crying over silly things, etc. Can find time to go out to movies with friends, no telling lies to friends….

    But when the whole world except you seem to be in love… something is really missing.

    Let me see if i get one…

  • At last I am into Designing

    At last the wait is over. I am with Cognizant for the past 1 yr. Finally our team is moving from maintenance to development phase.

    ASP.Net, C#…. All new things… Classes, Methods, Interfaces, Pages, AJAX…. I am speaking technically…. I am trying to understand these.

    Let me try to get some update on how this goes with the client in 2 days.

  • Soms in Love

    I can never imagine my friend and roommate would fall in love someday. He is sucha freaky guy, enjoys ROCK music a lot and would ask you a question “What #### do u converse for this much time with a girl?” if he sees us talking on the phone.

    His dream wife would be a damsel in all belief, slim body and structure as that of Avril Lavigne. A care for nothing type, ever smiling girl

    Today he has fallen in love, but none befits his dreams.. U should hear him say “Love is blind” if you ask about why he has chosen her. He waits for her 4 an hour daily, spends all time with her.

    Where is SOMS?
